Mamta government surprised by the central government's decision regarding Bengal
The Mamta Banerjee government of the state has expressed surprise at the change of the district hospital into a medical college in the northern district of Jalpaiguri in West Bengal and the first information about the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Dilip Ghosh. The Mamta government has been repeatedly alleging that it has been kept in the dark about this move of the Center.

The recent dispute between the Trinamool Government of Bengal and the Central Government over this issue has arisen due to the letter written to Ghosh by Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Harsh Vardhan. In a formal letter dated 23 January addressed to the BJP President of West Bengal, the Union Minister said, "I am very happy to inform you that the Government of India has upgraded the Jalpaiguri District Hospital in West Bengal to a new Government Medical Ordered to build a college. "

Not only this, but Harsh Vardhan also hoped that this college under Ghosh's prolific leadership will help meet the health needs of the people of the region and will ensure a healthy and prosperous India. The state BJP on Friday night posted a copy of the letter on its WhatsApp group, captioned 'Big change'. The group was told that Lok Sabha MP Ghosh and Jalpaiguri MP Jayanta Roy had raised this demand in Parliament and in several meetings with Harsh Vardhan.

It has been claimed that there will be a big improvement in health facilities in North Bengal by the creation of a medical college. The state government expressed surprise at the decision and accused the Center of ignoring it.

State Minister of State for Health Chandrima Bhattacharya said, "We made such a proposal to the Center long ago, but we were not even given formal notice of it." I have no idea about this. How can the central government upgrade a district hospital under the state government to become a medical college without informing us? ”

He said, "Unless you discuss with the state government, you cannot implement any decision about such an important district hospital." The health department in the state is with Chief Minister Mamata Banjir. His colleague Chandrima Bhattacharya also questioned the Centre's decision to select Ghosh to inform him of the decision to increase the hospital status. Gautam Deb, the minister of state and MLA of Dabagram-Phulbani in Jalpaiguri, also said the same.
